 🌙 Usage & Rights for Current Members of the Artsy Moon Paint Club (AMPC) - Note: Please see how the Usage & Rights will change beginning January 1, 2027 at the bottom of this page.

1️⃣ Membership Rights

If you are an active member in good standing, you are granted permission to use the designs in this Club:

  • For personal use

  • To paint and sell your own finished artwork

  • For in-person or online paint parties

  • For art kits you create

🔒 If you leave the membership, you also lose the rights to all designs, tutorials, and materials.

2️⃣ Reference Photos

You may use Artsy Moon Paint Club Paid Membership images for marketing purposes.

  • All reference photos must include the Artsy Moon Paint Club watermark or logo to protect your exclusive rights as a paying member.

  • You may post your own painted version of a design without the watermark — adding your initials or signature is encouraged.

3️⃣ Video Tutorials

  • You may not share or redistribute the AMPC video tutorial links. These are for members only.

  • They may not be included in online digital products or physical art kits.

  • You may record your own video of you teaching or painting the design (as long as you are an active member), but it must be private or unlisted, not public.

4️⃣ Step-by-Step Photo Instructions & Tutorials

  • You may include a printed copy of the step-by-step directions if you’re creating art kits for others.

  • You may not post or teach the full step-by-step process publicly, whether through photos, reels, or video tutorials.

5️⃣ Teaching Online or on Social Media

You’re welcome to share a small portion of a design publicly — such as a brush technique, color tip, or mini demo — but not the full painting.

The license entitles you to teach full designs only in private settings (such as in-person events or private groups).

6️⃣ Using Designs in Other Memberships

  • You may not use AMPC designs in your own membership, course, or program.

  • You may not share or sell them in any way that allows others to re-sell, re-teach, or redistribute the designs.

7️⃣ Selling Online (Such as Etsy & Maker Place)

As an active AMPC member, you may sell art kits you create using AMPC designs — for personal use only.

If you list items online, each listing must include this statement:

“Designs and tracers are for personal use only. Not to be used for-profit in paint party businesses or memberships.”

💛 Please be respectful when using AMPC designs. Our goal is to help you succeed while protecting the value of the Club and its members.

✔️ Selling for personal use = allowed
🚫 Selling for commercial or for-profit use (paint parties, memberships, etc.) = not allowed

 

Note: If you’re part of Artsy Express, your membership includes personal-use rights only — designs may not be used for teaching, resale, or kits.

New Usage & Rights Starting January 1, 2027:

 

🌙 Usage & Rights for Artsy Moon Paint Club Members

Upcoming change: Beginning January 1, 2027, Artsy Moon Paint Club designs may no longer be taught in online classes, including private groups. Current members may continue under the existing online teaching permission through December 31, 2026.

Members may still teach in-person paint parties and sell physical art kits. If you create a physical kit, you may include access to your own instructional video for that kit’s buyers, as described below.

1️⃣ What Your Membership Allows

As an active Artsy Moon Paint Club (AMPC) member in good standing, you may use Club designs:

  • For personal painting projects
  • To paint and sell your own finished artwork
  • To teach in-person paint parties
  • To create and sell physical art kits for customers’ personal use

These permissions apply only while your membership is active. If your membership ends, your permission to use AMPC designs for new paintings for sale, parties, or kits ends as well.

2️⃣ Teaching In Person and Online

You may teach AMPC designs at in-person paint parties while you are an active member.

Beginning January 1, 2027, you may not offer an AMPC design as an online class, whether it is free or paid, live or recorded, public or private. This includes classes in private Facebook groups, on video calls, through unlisted videos offered as classes, and on other online platforms.

Video exception for physical kits: If you create and sell a physical art kit, you may record your own video teaching that kit’s design and provide access only to people who purchase that kit. The video must accompany the physical kit; it may not be sold or offered separately as an online tutorial or class. You may not use or share an AMPC tutorial video in place of your own.

You may promote your in-person paint parties and kits online, share photos of your finished paintings, and post a brief technique tip or small demonstration. Please do not share the full step-by-step process outside an allowed physical kit.

3️⃣ Reference Photos and Your Own Artwork

You may use AMPC reference images to promote an allowed in-person paint party or physical art kit. When using an AMPC reference image, keep the Artsy Moon Paint Club watermark or logo visible.

You may share photos of a painting you created yourself without the AMPC watermark. You’re welcome to add your initials or signature.

4️⃣ Club Videos and Instructions

AMPC tutorial videos and video links are for members only. You may not share, sell, or redistribute them, or include them with an art kit or digital product.

You may include a printed copy of the AMPC step-by-step photo instructions in a physical art kit you create for a customer’s personal use. You may not post those instructions online or sell or distribute them as a separate digital product.

5️⃣ Memberships, Courses, and Resale Rights

AMPC designs may not be used in your own membership, online course, or online painting program. You may not give others permission to sell kits, teach paint parties, or redistribute an AMPC design.

Customers who buy a kit from you may use its design and tracer for personal use only. If you list an art kit online, include this statement:

“Designs and tracers are for personal use only. Not to be used for-profit in paint party businesses or memberships.”

These are the usage rights for Artsy Moon Paint Club. Artsy Express includes personal-use rights only; its designs may not be used for teaching, resale, or kits.
